Before this room is finished, every future experience has to find a path. Lighting control, security, cameras, music, video, and the network leave the central rack on their own labelled routes—supported and separated before the walls close. In a new build, we can plan conduit and access for what the home may need years from now. In a finished residence, the work becomes quieter and more surgical. Survey the attic and crawl space. Use existing openings. Fish the cable. Make only the access the route requires. Then test, patch, and paint, until the room feels whole again. The wire disappears. The record of where it went does not.
